Harry Ploemacher, born in 1959, is Chairman of the Management Board of Talanx Asset Management GmbH. He studied Business Management in Aachen and Cologne and started his professional career with a bank training at WestLB in 1981. From 1989 until 1992 he was responsible for major private clients at WestLB Private Banking in Düsseldorf. 1992 he changed to SachsenLB Investment Banking in Leipzig, where he headed the Institutional Sales, Asset Management and Investment Research Business. From 1997 until May 2002 he was Managing Director at WestLB Asset Management and Head of Sales/Client Service in Düsseldorf.

Mr. Ploemacher joined Talanx insurance group in June 2002. He is Chairman of the Board of Ampega Asset Management GmbH, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ampega Investment GmbH and Ampega Real Estate GmbH.
